Erika Vizcarra, there is nothing better than to be able to say that you made a difference in someone else’s life, and being a Family Partner for SVEF is one of the few professions that gives me that magical feeling. The caring professions in society are extremely important because they change the lives of individuals for the better, and that is the reason why I am in this field. I am recent graduate from San Jose State University with a Masters in Counseling and I also have a Bachelor’s in Social Work. My experiences in school and previous jobs have provided me with a sense of understanding and acceptance of others. My mission is to inspire and enable individuals, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive and responsible human beings.
