Gita joined Silicon Valley Education Foundation in July 2008. She is a San Jose native. She is in her last year at San Jose State University pursuing a Bachelors degree in Health Science. In the past she has also worked for San Jose State University where she was a volunteer peer health educator. When not working, Gita likes to travel, shop, and spend time with her friends and family.
