Ky-Van Lee, Ph.D., serves as Research Analyst at the Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF). Before coming to SVEF, she worked in Biometrics as a Clinical SAS programmer at Gilead Sciences. Prior to that, she worked at Stanford University where she was the database administrator and research analyst for a randomized clinical trial examining the effectiveness of preventive case management of cardiovascular disease. She has extensive experience collecting and analyzing data and has co-authored several papers on hypertension, pediatric depression and heart disease management. Ky-Van is an Excel and SAS geek who loves learning new tips and tricks. She has a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Psychology from UC Davis. Ky-Van hails from New York City but has always been a ³west coast girl² at heart. She is a happy mother of twins Samuel and Julian born in March 2008. Before having a family, she was a hyperactive outdoors enthusiast; she is looking forward to introducing her boys to her many interests as they grow up.
