Sonia Aguirre is a Program Coordinator for the Silicon Valley Education Foundation. She has worked for the foundation for over three years. Prior to working for the foundation, Sonia was a teacher’s aide at an elementary school in Willow Glen and worked for a drug prevention and safety program at East Side Union High School District. She was born and raised in San Jose and continues to be a proud resident. Sonia went on to get her B.S. in Sociology at Santa Clara University. She enjoys long distance running and going to Death Valley as a chaperone on an annual field studies trip with James Lick, a local high school.
