Tham Nguyen, immigrated to the United States when she was one year old. She is Vietnamese decent but was born in Malaysia and raised in Southern California. After she finished her undergraduate studies in Riverside, she fled from her comfort nest and moved to the Bay Area to explore the independent life. She loves to hang out with her families and friends doing all sorts of activities, from shopping, eating, baking, bowling, site seeing, fishing, camping, etc. Through her formal studies in Sociology and doing volunteer work she developed a passion in working with the community and supporting nonprofit organizations. She recently joined Silicon Valley Education Foundation but her experience from her past jobs has provided her the foundation and preparation to become a Family Partner. She believes that working at SVEF will be a rewarding experience because she will have the opportunity to work closely with underprivileged families and promoting the importance of early childhood learning.
