Currently there are many advocates in Silicon Valley for education as well as interested parties who may have concerns about education. These advocates and interested parties do not necessarily have the same agenda or may even have contradictory positions. SVEF brings these voices together to promote informed support for schools from all segments of the Silicon Valley Community.
The East Side Alliance (ESA) consists of eight partner districts that comprise 85,000 students. If the ESA were one district, it would be the third largest district in the state.
A-G refers to the high school courses required for entrance to the University of California and the California State University systems. Unfortunately, these requirements are not the default curriculum for many districts.
