Did you know that Algebra I is one of the best indicators of high school and college success? Yet, less than 50% of 8th graders are proficient in the Algebra I California Standards Test (CST).
Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) focuses on raising student performance in the critical areas of math and science. Our proven Stepping Up To Algebra (SUTA) program has helped prepare over 3,000 students for algebra success.
Join us this summer to help more than 1,000 students gain skills and confidence in math. SUTA runs 4 weeks from June - July (dates vary per location) in 18 school districts throughout San Jose, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Gilroy, Milpitas, Santa Clara, and Morgan Hill (Refer to this map for school locations). Classes run weekdays 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This is a great opportunity for corporations and community members to volunteer individually or on a team to make a difference in a student’s life.
