If you are graduating from high school and planning to go to college, there are a number of scholarship opportunities out there for you. Silicon Valley Education Foundation wants you to know of a couple of more opportunities. Continuing your education past high school is important and SVEF's partners want to help.

Meadows Neighborhood Scholarship Program

Scholarships are for qualified students attending Yerba Buena High School or Andrew Hill High School in San Jose, California. Thanks to the generosity of Bertha and Carl Ward, these scholarships of $500-$1500 will be awarded annually to the most qualified students in need of financial aid to support their academic career.

Guidelines

  1. Applicant must be a graduating High School senior attending college the following academic year and living in the attendance area of Yerba Buena High School or Andrew Hill High School in San Jose, California.
  2. Applications are currently being accepted. Deadline for submission is May 15, 2010.
  3. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books, supplies, or other expenses as seen fit by SVEF.
  4. The Scholarship must be spent within the 2010-2011 school year. Applicants may reapply for the scholarship the following year.
  5. Previous recipients may reapply for the scholarship.
  6. Complete application must be submitted electronically to bob@svefoundation.org or mailed to Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 1400 Parkmoor Ave, Suite 200, San Jose, CA 95126.
