We have gathered some resources for families to assist their students in learning.

SVEF’s Elementary Math & Science Package

Carefully crafted for Elementary Schoolers, The Silicon Valley Education Foundation has put together a packet with Math, Science, and STEM activities. This packet was intentionally created to supplement the activities sent home from school, or resources you may access online. The activities are designed to engage students in a meaningful and socially relevant way while also helping them understand and process what they are experiencing each day.

Investigations – Math Words & Ideas for K-5

The Investigations 3 curriculum is an inquiry-based approach "aligned to the content and practice standards of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)." Deep and careful attention was paid to what Mathematics content and to the level of student thinking and understanding used during these Investigations.

TERC Free Educational Resources

TERC Free Educational Resources - For ages 0-13, TERC has a collection of free resources to help educators, parents, students, and others investigation based Science projects.  (Sign-up required)

Code.org

Code.org has launched Code Break — designed for all ages, a live weekly webcast where their team will teach your children at home while school is closed, and a weekly challenge to engage students of all abilities, even those without computers.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy is a useful tool for preschoolers-High Schoolers, that teachers and students appreciated it as a resource for practice and reinforcement of math learning as well as Science, History, and English.

The Tech Musem

The Tech Musem has created a collection of lesson plans and activities that you can adapt for at-home learning. You’ll find a variety of materials for different grade levels, subjects and levels of independence designed to develop the problem-solvers of tomorrow.

Wide Open School

Wide Open School programs a full school day for the child by grade level, to ensure they’re getting a mix of educational material that aligns with what their day would have been when attending school. All the content offered through Wide Open School is freely available.

The Math Learning Center

Schools may be closed, but math learning can continue! Through June, and longer if necessary, The Math Learning Center (MLC) is providing free resources for all students to use independently or with support from family members or educators.
