SVEF is pleased to work with partners to offer these opportunities for students.
Goals for Education
Presented by Wells Fargo Bank and the San Jose Earthquakes, and powered by SVEF, Goals for Education offers up to 20 scholarships of $1500 to high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to physical health, financial literacy, and STEM education. For every goal the San Jose Earthquakes score during the regular season, Wells Fargo will donate $500, up to $30,000. Applicants must be graduating from a Santa Clara County Public High School and enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college in the fall following their high school graduation. Meadows Neighborhood Scholarship
Thanks to the generosity of Bertha and Carl Ward, Meadows Neighborhood Scholarships of $500 - $1500 are available for qualified high school seniors attending Andrew Hill High School or Yerba Buena High School in San Jose, California. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and plans to major in a STEM field through at 2 or 4 year college in the fall after they graduate high school. Scholarships are awarded annually at the end of the school year to the most qualified students in need of financial aid to support their academic career. Recipients of the Meadows Scholarship are invited to reapply throughout their college career.

Wells Fargo Change the Future Grant
SVEF and Wells Fargo are dedicated to improving education in the Silicon Valley. The Wells Fargo Change the Future Grant aims to engage students in computer science who may not otherwise have that exposure.
To apply, schools were asked to create a plan, align the initiatives of a club or class to their STEM goals, develop recruitment strategies, identify measurable outcomes, and explain how the grant would help make computer science sustainable and viable at their school.
Each of the following schools were awarded $10,000:
- Renaissance Mathson Academy, Alum Rock Union School District
- Renaissance Fischer Academy, Alum Rock Union School District
- Downtown College Prep, East Side Union High School District
- James Lick High School, East Side Union High School District
- Ocala STEAM Academy, Alum Rock Union School District
- Sunrise Middle School in San Jose
- LeyVa Middle School, Evergreen Elementary School District

Since 2013, the ArtsEdConnect program, jointly managed by SVCREATES and Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF), has given out over $500,000 in grants to Santa Clara County educators. In 2018, we are excited to announce that $150,000 will be awarded to local teachers to support and encourage arts education with their students. Grants of up to $1000 per teacher, are available in the Fall and Spring.
