Presented by Wells Fargo Bank and the San Jose Earthquakes, and powered by SVEF, Goals for Education offers up to 20 scholarships of $1500 to high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to physical health, financial literacy, and STEM education.
For every goal the San Jose Earthquakes score during the regular season, Wells Fargo will donate $500, up to $30,000. Applicants must be graduating from a Santa Clara County Public High School and enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college in the fall following their high school graduation.
During the 2018 season, the Earthquake scored, 49 goals, and Wells Fargo donated an extra $1000. We are pleased to announce that a total of $25,500 will be awarded in 17 scholarships!
2018-2019 Applications Open on March 18, 2019 and Close on May 1, 2019.
Meadows Neighborhood Scholarship
Thanks to the generosity of Bertha and Carl Ward, Meadows Neighborhood Scholarships of $500 – $1500 are available for qualified high school seniors attending Andrew Hill High School or Yerba Buena High School in San Jose, California. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and plans to major in a STEM field through at 2 or 4 year college in the fall after they graduate high school. Scholarships are awarded annually at the end of the school year to the most qualified students in need of financial aid to support their academic career. Recipients of the Meadows Scholarship are invited to reapply throughout their college career.
Applications Open on March 18 and Close on April 21.
