Share Your STEM Journey with Students
Inspire underserved students now and through the summer by sharing your college and career journey and how you use STEM in your job. Since we've moved our programs online, we're looking for volunteers to deliver a ~30-minute Zoom or Webex presentation to students learning from home and take questions at the end. You can also incorporate an online demo of something you're working on, give a virtual tour of a product or facility, or facilitate an online activity.
Who: Anyone who uses science, technology, engineering, or math in their job.
What: Give a presentation on your STEM college and career journey and anything STEM-related that you're working on to Elevate [Math] students in elementary, middle, or high school.
Where: Online, to students in districts across the Bay Area
When: Mid-June through end of July between 10 AM and noon, Monday-Friday. Including questions and set-up time, the total engagement is about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Elevate [Math] is a math intervention program for students who are below grade-level standards. Elevate [Math] uses project-based learning, previews next year’s curriculum, and develops college and career awareness. To volunteer, please fill out this form Thank you!
